Changing the SMTP Port in Mac Mail 10.5

This tutorial shows you how to make the SMPT change required to continue using HPO's SMTP server. This tutorial focuses on setting up Mac Email.

To Set Up Your E-mail Account in Mac Mail 10.5

1. In Mac Email program, > Open the "Mail" menu and select "Preferences.
   
2. Click the Accounts button then click on the Account Information tab and check your settings.
   
3. Click on the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) drop down bar then Choose Edit Server List...

   
    

4. Click on the Advanced tab and enter 26 in the Server Port.
   
5. Click OK to close the screens.
6. If prompted to Save Changes, click Save.
