Changing the SMTP Port in Microsoft Outlook 2K

This tutorial shows you how to make the SMPT change required to continue using HPO's SMTP server. This tutorial focuses on setting up Microsoft Outlook 2000, but these settings are similar in other versions of Microsoft Outlook. You can set up previous versions of Microsoft Outlook by using the settings in this tutorial.

To Set Up Your E-mail Account in Microsoft Outlook 2000

1. In Microsoft Outlook, select Tools > Accounts.
   
2. Select the "Mail" tab on the screen that comes up then click the "Properties" button off to the right.
   
3. Click the "Advanced" tab on the screen that comes up and in the "Outgoing mail (SMTP)" field end 26.

   
    

4. Click OK, then Close on the screen you return to.
    
5. That's it, you are finished Finish.
