Changing the SMTP Port in Thunderbird

This tutorial shows you how to make the SMPT change required to continue using HPO's SMTP server. This tutorial focuses on setting up Thunderbird.

To make the port change for your Thunderbird email program.

1. In Thunderbird, select Tools > Accounts Settings...
   
2. On the "Account Settings" screen, highlight "Outgoing Server (SMTP) then click the "Edit" button.
    
3. On the "SMTP Server" screen that comes up change the "Port" number to 26 (as seen below), click OK.

   
    

4. Click OK.
    
5. All changes are complete.
